There isn’t much need for an excuse to celebrate World Cocktail Day, but if you’re not yet convinced Sopwell House may have the answer with its Battenberg cocktail recipe.
The drink takes inspiration from the Georgian manor house’s wealth of history, as Sopwell House was the country residence of Prince Louis of Battenberg, later known as Lord Mountbatten.
Restaurant and Bar Manager at Sopwell House, Stefano Litti, has shared one of the hotel’s signature cocktails so you can enjoy the drink at home to celebrate World Cocktail Day.
– 20ml Strawberry Puree
– 20ml Pineapple Juice
– Champagne to top
Method: Prepare the champagne flute by adding strawberry puree to the bottom of the glass before topping with pineapple juice. Top up the mixture with champagne and enjoy!
